CBS’ Pitts to deliver 1st in Freed lecture series

FINDLAY — Byron Pitts, a 60 Minutes correspondent and chief national correspondent for CBS News, will speak at Winebrenner Theological Seminary at 7:30 p.m. Friday, delivering the first talk in the Dr. and Mrs. DeBow Freed Contemporary Christian Lecture Series.

Mr. Pitts, a native of Baltimore, is the author of Step Out on Nothing: How Faith and Family Help Me Conquer Life’s Challenges, released in 2009.

He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1982 with a degree in journalism and speech communication.
