Nativity scene to return to Pemberville center

PEMBERVILLE — The Rev. Pete Johnston will host the seventh Annual Nativity Scene Display from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Otterbein Portage Valley, 20311 Pemberville Rd. in Pemberville.

Residents and staff of the senior citizen community also will share their Nativity sets with the public. The tradition of displaying scenes showing baby Jesus, Joseph and Mary, and animals in the manger dates to at least the 13th century but has become a Christmas fixture in the last century.
