Pastor to be installed at Community of Christ

The Rev. Matthew Lash is to be installed as pastor of Community of Christ Lutheran Church, 6517 Finzel Rd., Whitehouse, at the 10 a.m. service Jan. 8.

Bishop Marcus Lohrmann of the Northwestern Ohio Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is to preside and deliver the sermon.

Community of Christ was founded in 1973, and the church’s first service took place in the cafeteria of Anthony Wayne High School with 93 people in attendance. The congregation dedicated its current church building, at Dutch and Finzel roads, in 1977.
