“We Shall Not Be Moved” is a spiritual song also used as the title of a documentary film written and produced by Sister Judy Zielinski, a Sylvania Franciscan nun.

It follows the lives of six Roman Catholic communities of nuns in New Orleans who, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, not only faced the challenges of losing their convents and other devastation, but also were presented with loss of their ministries because the people they served left the area or had very different needs.

The sisters chose not to move, but to stay and rebuild their ministries and their motherhouses.

Sister Judy’s film about the communities is to be shown at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Franciscan Center Theatre on the Lourdes University campus, 6832 Convent Blvd., Sylvania. Admission is free.
