Religion and science aren’t incompatible. That's one of the messages of the Sylvania United Church of Christ’s Scientists in Congregations series of speakers, who have talked about the fusion of religion and science.

On Monday at 7 p.m., the Sylvania church, at 7240 Erie St., presents scientist/theologian/author Robert J. Russell, a professor at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, Calif. He is the 10th and final speaker in the eight-night series that started in January.

Scientists in Congregations is a grant program funded by the John Templeton Foundation.
