B’nai Israel breakfast, demonstration are free

1/26/2013

Congregation B’nai Israel will present “World Wide Wrap,” an opportunity to learn about tefillin, the Scripture-containing leather cases that some observant Jews wrap around their arm and forehead.

On Feb. 10, the congregation will host a free breakfast at 10 a.m.; show Ties That Bind, a film about tefillin, which are also known as phylacteries, at 10:30 a.m.; and have what they call “wrap and roll,” a demonstration of how to wrap tefillin, at 11 a.m. Wrap and roll includes the Sunday school, and children will show the tefillin they made.

Reservations for the breakfast are requested by Thursday. Call 419-517-8400 or email kstorm@cbitoledo.org. No reservations are required for the other events.
