Prayer and reason part of 24th annual breakfast program

4/26/2013

The 24th annual Northwest Ohio Prayer Breakfast will be served Thursday at 7 a.m. at the Premier Banquet Complex, 4480 Heatherdowns Blvd. The featured speaker is Sujo John, originally from India, who now lives in a suburb of Dallas. Mr. John became a Christian evangelist after surviving the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001. He was working in his office on the 81st floor of the North Tower when the building was hit by a plane.

Also at the breakfast, Gus Yeager, one of the founders of the Northwest Ohio Prayer Breakfast, will be honored. Admission is $15. Registration information is available at nwoprayerbreakfast.org or by calling 419-377-0558.

Thursday is both the National Day of Prayer, which Congress resolved to be an annual event in 1952, and the National Day of Reason, endorsed by secular organizations and individuals and proclaimed by some government bodies.
