Celebrating a union

Two churches that combined will have a formal installation service tomorrow at 4 p.m. with the theme “United We Stand.”

Abundant Life Baptist Church and Morning Star Baptist Church merged in March, named the Rev. Garland A. Files pastor, and now use the Morning Star name. The installation service, to be held at Morning Star at 212 Charles St., features guest pastor the Rev. Johnny Barringer of Christ Congregational Baptist Church.
