    At Trinity Lutheran Church on Glendale Avenue, Michael Fahncke, 12, receives ashes from the Rev. Ryan Kleimola, assistant pastor, on Ash Wednesday. Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent. Coming 46 days before Easter, it is a time Christians recall the days Jesus spent fasting and suffering Satan’s tempations. This year, Palm Sunday is April 13, Maundy Thursday is April 17, Good Friday is April 18, and Easter is April 20.
