Teamster chief Singer leaves state, local posts

Les Singer, longtime Toledo Teamster leader, has retired from positions in the union's local and state organizations.

Roger Insprucker, president of Cincinnati Teamsters Local 114, replaced him as president of the Ohio Conference of Teamsters. Mark Sobczak, recording secretary of Toledo Local 20, was elected by the local's executive board to complete the one year left in Mr. Singer's term as vice president of that organization.

Mr. Singer, 58, wanted to devote more time to his duties as an international vice president on the union's general executive board, said Bill Lichtenwald, Local 20 president.
