The Andersons Inc. reported Tuesday a big jump in profit and revenue for the third quarter.
The Maumee agribusiness’ profit was $10.9 million, or 59 cents a share, for the quarter, compared with $1.4 million, or 8 cents a share, for the same period last year. Revenue for the July-September period was $939 million, up from $707 million.
Operating profit rose significantly in the grain and ethanol units, but its general merchandise stores had an operating loss.
