Elder-Beerman stores in Monroe swap name
10/2/2012MONROE — Bon-Ton Stores Inc., the parent firm of Elder-Beerman stores and seven other department store chains, has converted the Elder-Beerman department store and home store in The Mall of Monroe, on North Monroe Street, to stores under its Carson Pirie Scott division.
The former Elder-Beerman stores are now known as Carson’s and Carson’s Home Store.
In Michigan, Bon-Ton operates mainly under its Carson’s, Parisian, and Younkers nameplate, but still maintains one Elder-Beerman store in Adrian. In Ohio, Bon-Ton operates solely under the Elder-Beerman name.
