Kroger buys vacant Kmart in Perrysburg
5/13/2014The Kroger Co.’s Columbus division, which oversees stores in the Toledo area, has purchased the former Kmart store at 27322 Carronade Dr. in Perrysburg.
The 94,000-square-foot vacant store, adjacent to an existing Kroger, was bought on May 7 for $3.1 million.
“We did purchase the former Kmart location. Perrysburg is a strong region for us, and we are going through the evaluation process to figure out how to better serve the customers in that region,” Kroger spokesman Jackie Siekmann said.
“We have no definite plans yet for what we will do with that location — whether we will relocate or expand. We are still going through internal reviews to decide next steps,” she added.
