Perrysburg Radiator Co., which has offered general auto repairs along with heating and cooling repairs for the automotive and industrial sectors since 1988, said Wednesday that it plans to close July 31.

Company president and owner Ernie Shiffler said the closing will coincide with his retirement after 59 years in the automotive repair business. He was employed at area auto-repair shops before opening his own, which is at 780 W. Boundary St.

It specialized in vintage car repairs. On the industrial side, it also repaired radiators, including units that cool the air compressors found on rides at Cedar Point amusement park.
