Suspended Chicago Cubs P LaTroy Hawkins for three games and fined him an undisclosed amount for inappropriate actions and comments directed at umpire Tim Tschida during a July 20 game. Suspended Boston Red Sox 1B David Ortiz and fined him an undisclosed amount for inappropriate actions directed at umpires during a July 16 game.
