NATIVE AMERICANS RECALL COMBATANTS AT FALLEN TIMBERS

8/29/2007

Native Americans who fought for their territory at the Battle of Fallen Timbers in 1794 are remembered in 'a day of remembrance and healing' near the Fallen Timbers monument Sunday. LeRoy Malaterre of Lebanon, Ind., is at center rear. The event is presented yearly by the American Intertribal Association and sponsored by the Toledo Area Metroparks. It was to include games and arts and crafts as well as traditional dancing and singing.
