Perrysburg to collect leaves

10/10/2007

Perrysburg's leaf collection starts Monday, beginning in the older neighborhoods, where the concentration of leaves is heaviest.

Householders should have their leaves out by 7 a.m. that day, above the curb, in the municipal right-of-way.

Leaves put out after this date will be picked up in the second sweep, which will be conducted Nov. 5 to 21.

This collection also will begin in the older neighborhoods. Leaves put out after completion of the second round will not be picked up.

The city's compost site is open year round for leaf disposal. Its hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Residents may bring loose or bagged leaves to the city's street division, 205 E. Boundary St., for inspection and to get the key. Bagged leaves must be emptied at the site and the bags taken away.

First-time users must bring a driver's license to prove their residency.

Leaves can be left out with garbage if they are in qualifying yard waste bags.

Residents with questions may call the street division at 419-872-8020.
