Bowling Green

t Scout Curling Night: Bowling Green Curling Club invites area Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts to the Bowling Green State University Ice Arena, to give curling a try from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 14. Registration deadline is Dec. 1. Cost, $10 per scout and includes a patch. Club members will give instruction. Dress warmly and take clean shoes. Contact Gary Saddler, 419-345-2007. t Holiday Invitational Swim Meet, Dec. 8 and 9 at Cooper Pool in the BGSU Recreation Center. About 15 to 18 swim teams will compete in one or more of 76 events. Boys and girls age 10 and under and boys ages 11-12 will compete beginning at 8 a.m. both days. Girls ages 11-12 and youth ages 13 and older will swim in the afternoon sessions, start time to be announced. This is a USA swimming sanctioned meet.

t Maumee Holiday Lights Parade, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 23 in Uptown Maumee at Conant, Wayne, and Dudley streets. Santa will be at the Maumee Indoor Theater after the parade. Refreshments.

t Holiday Hustle 5K Race and 1.5-mile Fun Walk begins 5:15 p.m. Nov. 23 uptown before the 6:30 p.m. holiday parade. Free movie at 3:30 p.m. Entry fee on race day is $15. Information, 419-360-3709.

t Christmas at the Monclova Community Center, 8115 Monclova Rd, Dec. 1. Holiday of Lights Parade will begin 5:30 p.m. and feature decorated floats and vehicles. Holiday crafts for sale, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a Santa visit from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Chili dinner from 4 to 5:30 p.m., before the parade.
