High school soccer players Taylor Sheffler of Bowling Green High School and Daniel Saville of Central Catholic High School have won Bluffton University Incentive Scholarships to attend the university, where they will continue to play soccer.

The scholarships are valued at $3,500 for the first year and could rise $500 each year if the students keep a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average or higher.

John Mercer of Holland has won "The Ride is Right" free tuition giveaway to the Owens Community College Truck Driving Academy, courtesy of 104.7 WIOT and Owens.

He has worked the last nine years as a casting technician at a foundry, though he has always dreamed of driving a truck.

His name was drawn at random from 200 entrants to win the tuition prize valued at $3,395. A Toledo native, Mr. Mercer is a graduate of Waite High School.
