Student of the Week: Maggie McCormick

Maggie McCormick, a senior from Maumee, plans to major in international relations and business in college. Her favorite subjects are English and U.S. history, and she has a 4.5 grade-point average.

Maggie was honored as the 5-Star General of the Month and The Blade Athlete of the Week. She achieved 1st Team All-League in tennis and is a recipient of the National Young Leaders Conference Year-End Academic Award.

A member of student council and the yearbook staff, she is a volunteer at Hospice of Northwest Ohio and tutors third-grade students at Whitehouse Primary School.

"She has demonstrated that she is as curious as she is capable, and she is one of the most responsible students I have," said teacher Jeremy Terwilliger.

Maggie is the daughter of Joseph and Molly McCormick.
