PRE-ALGEBRA LOOKS LIKE FUN AT PERRYSBURG JUNIOR HIGH

5/14/2008

Taylor Humphrey, front from left, Jessie Mackiewicz, and Alexandra Woods assume positions on a giant graph as directed by math teacher Joan Meyer, back center, during a recent pre-algebra class at Perrysburg Junior High School. The math teacher has a novel way to teach pre-algebra: She puts a large drop cloth with a grid marked on the ground to resemble graph paper. Her eighth-grade students are the points that are plotted in the problem.
