  • Matt Feasel, from left, Sandy Peinert, and Karen Barnes, a Commodore alumna, flip through yearbooks from the 1920s and 1930s with Thomas Hosler, superintendent of Perrysburg Schools, during a recent celebration of the Commodore Building before the oldest part of it is demolished. A new Commodore Square public park is to take its place as illustrated on the drawing at right.

Courteny Vaughn, from left, Caroline Shipman, and Lydia Moser play musical selections during the celebration. The girls are juniors at Perrysburg High School.

The cornerstone of the oldest part of the Commodore Building was removed from the wall and will be saved. Amy Velliquette and her husband Brian Velliquette look over the part of the wall where the cornerstone was removed.
