10 batting teams to vie in Springfield schools contest
7/30/2008The crack of the bat will sound across the field during the Springfield Board of Education's annual Picnic in the Parking Lots on Aug. 14.
Ten teams have signed up for a chance to compete in the "springFIELD OF DREAMS" batting contest.
The contest will be part of the activitives during the picnic which is slated for 5 to 8 p.m. in the back lots between Springfield High School and Springfield Middle School. Food, fun, and entertainment - at no cost to participants or taxpayers - is on tap.
