  • Mark Logsdon, left, of Sterling Heights, Mich., directs the 1st Michigan Colonial Fife and Drum Corps during Drums along the Maumee. Fife and drum corps from across the country turned out in full regalia for the two-day event at Fort Meigs in Perrysburg. Military music from the 1750s through the War of 1812 was featured and scheduled activities included soldiers and civilians in period garb providing demonstrations of weapons and camp life, with hands-on activities for children.
