In the glow of lights from a Christmas tree, tinsmith Don Rasmusson makes a mug from a pattern popular during the War of 1812 at the Holiday Open House at Fort Meigs Visitors Center in Perrysburg.

Voigt Location: Perrysburg, Ohio CAPTION: Tin Smith Don Rasmusson (cq) holds a "Tankard", a mug from an 1812 pattern, during the annual Fort Meigs Holiday Open House, which featured War of 1812 soldiers and civilians providing demonstrations and answering questions about the War of 1812 and camp life. Visitors enjoyed holiday music, hot cider and cookies, and hands-on activities.

The finished product, voila, a tankard from which the holder can enjoy a favorite beverage.
