South Toledo

Highland Heights Neighborhood Association meets at 6:30 p.m. the second Thursday of every month at the Toledo Heights Branch Library, 423 Shasta Drive. All citizens and business owners in South Toledo are invited. The agenda includes spring cleanup, neighborhood flower gardens, plans for the triangle at South and Airport, and networking with other local groups. Maumee

Maumee Valley Historical Society lectures series to be held from 4-6 p.m. Feb. 24 to March 31 at the Country Church at the Wolcott House Museum Complex, 1035 River Rd. The series is for teachers interested in earning 10 contact hours (must attend five sessions) and for anyone interested in local history. The cost is $15 for the series (for teachers) or $3 per session (for the general public). MVHS members and volunteers are free. The series of five speakers includes topics on the Great Depression and its impact on the Maumee Valley area and its residents plus a tour of the museum complex. Perrysburg

577 Foundation, 577 East Front St., Perrysburg, will host the following programs: Feb. 16: 6:30 to 8 p.m., Yoga Nidra integrative relaxation cost $15. Clothing Closet at Hope United Methodist Church, 10610 Waterville St., will be having a half-off price sale on all merchandise the weeks of Feb. 15 and 22. Following the sale the Closet will be closed for three weeks. It will re-open March 23. Hours are 1-4 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Bowling Green Parks and Recreation will hold the first Frostbite One Mile Fun Run at 11 a.m. Feb. 21 around City Park. Bowling Green Parks and Recreation is offering a Mosaic Projects Galore class for adults from 7-8:30 p.m. beginning Feb. 12 and running for three weeks at the Bowling Green Community Center. Participants will have the option of one of three projects a 12-by-12 window, a large window, or a glasstop table. The cost depends on which project is chosen.
