Bowling Green

•Preserving Family Treasures at the Wood County Historical Museum, 13660 County Home Rd., 7 p.m. May 27. Curator Randy Brown presents a workshop on preserving family photographs and heirlooms. •Crissey Carnival, sponsored by the Crissey Elementary Parents Club, at 6:30 p.m. May 29 at the school. The family event includes games, inflatables, karaoke, bingo, food, raffles,and entertainment. •The Rock-the-Block Concert takes place from 4:30-11 p.m. June 6 in the 100 block of West Dudley Street. Live bands will perform for the 21-and-older crowd. The Haywire band performs from 5-6:30 p.m., followed by the Reaganomics playing from 7-11. Admission is $5. Vito's Pizza and Salsarita's Fresh Cantina will provide the food.

•ISOH/IMPACT will host a charity bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 30 at their warehouse, 905 Farnsworth Rd. The "donation only" event will feature a variety of new and used items including clothing, shoes, jewelry, furniture, cookware, small appliances, and shelving. •Nature's Nursery will host its first Walk for Wildlife on June 6 at the Blue Creek Conservation Area, 7790 Schadel Rd. Astronomy

•The Toledo Astronomical Association in cooperation with the Olander and Park Systems will conduct public viewing at Sylvan Prairie (off Brint just west of Centennial) from 9-11:30 p.m. May 29, weather permitting. Saturn will be the principal object of interest. The relative position of Earth and Saturn are such that Saturn's rings have largely disappeared. The rings will appear as a black line across the face of the planet and a brighter line on either side of the planet. This event occurs approximately every 13 years.
