Plans start to warm up for 'Holiday on Ice' parade

9/29/2010

BOWLING GREEN - Never mind that just last week it was a record 92 degrees.

Things are turning frosty in Bowling Green where organizers of the holiday parade are seeking ice-capped floats and other attractions.

In keeping with a Holidays on Ice theme, groups are encouraged to come up with creative ways to chill out their entries, such as with ice sports, ice games, ice castles, and ice sculptures.

The parade will step off at 10 a.m. Nov. 20 in downtown Bowling Green. Registration forms are available on the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce's Web site, bgchamber.net or can be obtained at the chamber office, 163 North Main St.

Deadline for submission of completed forms is 5 p.m. Oct. 22.

There is no registration fee, but donations are welcomed. Each year, sponsorships and donations help to offset the expenses of the parade.

Sponsorship/donation forms are available on the chamber's Web site.

Completed forms can be mailed to the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 31, Bowling Green OH, 43402; dropped off at the office, or faxed to 419-353-3693.
