Teacher of the Month: Carol Johnson, Bowsher High School

1/11/2011

Carol Johnson, special-education teacher at Bowsher High School, encourages her multihandicapped students to work beyond their potential. Her students are actively engaged and creating wonderful things.

"I have never seen a success story like Carol Johnson's class," said Christine Coleman, assistant principal. "The collaboration between the paraprofessionals, Mrs. Johnson, and the students is amazing. The students are active, social, and full of energy.

Mrs. Johnson's hard work and dedication has definitely been responsible for the positive environment in which these students work."

Mrs. Johnson has a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Toledo and a master's from Marygrove College in Detroit.
