Adam Koch, 29, Otsego Local Schools' new superintendent, is to start Aug. 1, officials said. He had been the district's treasurer since December, 2010.

As treasurer, his pay was $70,500; he is to be paid $93,000 as superintendent.

The superintendent position opened up after Jim Garber announced he would step down July 31 to become principal of the consolidated Otsego Elementary when it opens this school year.
