A one-hour walking tour of Waterville’s historic district starts at 2 p.m. July 28 at the Robbins House Museum, 114 S. River Rd.

A guide from the Waterville Historical Society will share information about the architecture and histories of the homes and businesses.

The Robbins House and the 1834 Sargent House next door will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Docents will detail the museums’ histories and contents. The Robbins House is restored and decorated to represent a pioneer home; the Sargent House displays artifacts of early commerce and home construction methods as well as Native American items.

The museums do not charge admission; a $1 donation is requested for a walking-tour brochure. The events also will be offered Aug. 25.
