Whitehouse, Perrysburg Township prescription-drug drop-off scheduled

The Whitehouse and Perrysburg Township safety departments will accept expired and unused prescription drugs Saturday as part of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

Medications can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Whitehouse Fire Station at 10550 Waterville St. Motorists may drive through the bay doors of the station to make their drop-offs.

Prescription drugs also will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Perrysburg Township Police Station at 26611 Lime City Rd. Officers will accept medication at that location at any time throughout the year as well.

The drugs will be disposed of safely, department officials said.
