Perrysburg council OKs contracts for planting of 189 trees

The city of Perrysburg has contracted with Davey Tree of Toledo to plant 108 trees at a cost of $31,845 and with North Branch Nursery of Pemberville to plant 81 trees at a cost of $23,989.

Because the amount was greater than $25,000, council had to approve an ordinance for Davey Tree.

Gary Kuhr, superintendent of lands and sanitation for Perrysburg, said 14 locust trees recently were planted along St. Rt. 25 near the Ed Schmidt dealership.
