Ivory Coast teacher to speak at Perrysburg

Serge Pacome Yao Pre of Abidjan, Ivory Coast, will speak to Lynda Fox’s French class at Perrysburg High School on Wednesday in the first of several visits.

The guest speaker is with the teaching excellence and achievement program at Bowling Green State University, and he is associated with the International Research and Exchange Board.

Through the program, 25 English teachers from around the world come to northwest Ohio to visit schools and take ideas back to their countries while sharing languages and information from the visiting teachers’ countries.

Mr. Pre will visit once a week at Perrysburg High School for seven weeks. His time outside high school will be spent at BGSU. An English teacher for 14 years, he is married with two children.
