Anthony Wayne High School has started using a buzzer system to monitor entry into the building during school hours. The system started Monday.

Students were provided with procedures and times for entry. Additionally, students will be able to enter through the tech wing doors, the main office doors, as well as the gym doors from 7 a.m. until 7:45 a.m. Students know that all doors will be locked after the first-period bell rings.

Visitors must use the buzzer by the main office doors to enter and they may be required to show a picture ID. This process is designed to help make sure students and staff are provided a safe and secure environment.

Officials said they do not anticipate students experiencing much change in routine because of increased vigilance.
