Perrysburg council to appoint new member tonight

At today’s meeting, city council is to appoint a new member. Maria Ermie stepped down at the end of April because of health reasons. The five candidates who applied to fill the seat are Rebecca Williams, James Matuszak, John Spore, Sara Weisenburger, and Grant Garn.

Those candidates were interviewed by council members May 13. Whoever is appointed will be in the seat until December, when Ms. Ermie’s term ends. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Perrysburg Municipal Building.

Mayor Nelson Evans will also appoint Brody Walters as planning and zoning administrator.
