Former state representative Lynn Olman, a Republican from Maumee, expects to buy the Maumee riverfront condominium of embattled local coin dealer Tom Noe.

Mr. Olman confirmed this week that he has put an offer on the 3,500-square-foot home and that the Noes have accepted it.

The Noes bought the home in February, 2004, for $480,000, according to Lucas County property records.

It was being listed at $585,000. The sale price was not disclosed.

Mr. Olman was an Ohio state representative from 1995 until last year. He ran unsuccessfully for Lucas County commissioner against Democrat Tina Skeldon Wozniak.

Since 1996, Mr. Noe was a political supporter of Mr. Olman, contributing $3,300 to his campaigns.

Mr. Olman, who owns an insurance agency in Maumee, served as a Maumee councilman for 15 years before he was appointed to the Ohio House of Representatives in 1995 to cover a district that encompasses much of western Lucas County.
