Taft reappoints Gangwer to organized crime unit

COLUMBUS Sandusky County Sheriff David Gangwer has been reappointed by Gov. Bob Taft to the Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission for a term ending Sept. 3, 2008.

The commission coordinates investigations of organized crime activity and cooperates with the federal government in its efforts. Members are compensated only for expenses.

Sheriff Gangwer attended the FBI National Academy and Peace Officers Basic Training at Ross Enright Academy.
