UT official named chairman of state's building authority

COLUMBUS - Shortly after being reappointed to another term on the Ohio Building Authority, Sandra Drabik, a University of Toledo vice president, general counsel, and board secretary, has been appointed board chairman by Gov. Bob Taft.

The board purchases, constructs, and maintains buildings and other facilities for use as state office buildings; homes for the aged, disabled, and mentally ill, and as living quarters for home staff. Members are compensated only for expenses.

Ms. Drabik's term as chairman will expire at the end of 2011. She holds bachelor's, master's, and law degrees from Ohio State University.
