COLUMBUS A picture of a walleye about to bite a lure is now available for license plates through the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

The new plate, which costs $25 on top of normal registration fees, is designed to promote and celebrate Lake Erie fishing. Some of the fee, $15, goes to benefit the Ohio Sea Grant College Program, which is run out of the Ohio State University Gibraltar Island campus.

The program funds online curricula, fellowships, and workshops that are designed to teach elementary and high school instructors how to teach science.

The plates can be ordered at www.oplates.com or by calling 1-888-752-8373.
