Governor reappoints 2 men to boards

COLUMBUS Ed Hammett, executive director of the Ohio Lake Erie Commission, has been reappointed by Gov. Bob Taft to the Great Lakes Protection Fund Board through Oct. 11.

The regional multistate trust fund was established to advance the objectives of the Great Lakes toxic substance control and water quality agreement. Members receive compensation for expenses only. Mr. Hammett, of Pemberville, is a graduate of Ohio State University.

The governor also reappoin ted Findlay businessman Frank A. Guglielmi to the Development Financing Advisory Council, which approves low-interest, long-term, fixed-asset loans for companies that want to expand or relocate in Ohio. Members are paid $9.15 per hour.

Mr. Guglielmi, chief executive officer and president of ACAP Ltd., will serve through 2013.
