AAA Michigan: Gas prices at lowest point in years
11/24/2008DEARBORN, Mich. AAA Michigan says the statewide average price of gasoline is at its lowest level since January 2005.
The Michigan average is at $1.76. That s down 20 cents from a week ago.
Of the cities it surveys, AAA Michigan said Monday the cheapest price for self-serve regular fuel is in the Flint area, where it s $1.71 a gallon. The highest average can be found in the Marquette area at $2.08.
The statewide average for biodiesel is $2.88 and $1.82 for ethanol.
The Dearborn-based auto club surveys 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily.
