YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — A coroner is investigating the death of a northeast Ohio cheerleader who collapsed at practice and died.

Jabraya Howell of Youngstown's East High School collapsed during after-school practice on Wednesday, a day before her 17th birthday. She was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

The Mahoning County coroner's office is investigating.
