Judge candidate named interim Ohio Supreme Court chief justice

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Gov. Ted Strickland on Wednesday appointed a fellow Democrat running for the job of Ohio Supreme Court chief justice to the post on an interim basis after the unexpected death of Chief Justice Thomas Moyer.
