CLEVELAND - The tornado that killed five people in Wood County was one of a string of tornadoes that struck across northern Ohio over the weekend.
National Weather Service said yesterday three others were confirmed, none of which caused injuries.
A barn was destroyed by a tornado that touched down Saturday near Mansfield in the north-central part of the state. A tornado in northeast Ohio's Holmes County Saturday afternoon damaged roofs with winds up to 110 mph. A camper trailer was blown over and a garage was moved off its foundation.
Officials also said the tornado that hit Dundee, Mich., Sunday was one of eight in the southern part of that state over the weekend.
