State troopers looking to identify truck involved in fatal Erie County crash

MILAN, Ohio — State troopers are looking for help in locating a pickup truck that was involved in a fatal crash in Erie County on the Ohio Turnpike Sunday.

The pickup truck, which was pulling a trailer, was westbound about 11:55 a.m. when the trailer lost a tire and the tire bounced over the median wall and struck an eastbound car. The driver of the car, Douglas Wise, 51, of Grove City, Ohio was killed.

A photo of the pickup truck was taken as the vehicle left the toll booth at the U.S. 250/Sandusky exit. The photo is posted at statepatrol.ohio.gov and is here on this site.
