JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An Ohio man has been charged after authorities said he brought a group to buy pain killers at a Jacksonville clinic and one of the patients later overdosed.

Krystopher Legg was indicted Thursday with conspiracy and aiding the distribution of oxycodone, causing the death of Robert Lee Johnson.

Authorities said 25-year-old Johnson was found dead in April in a motel bathtub after visiting a pill mill where he was given 300 oxycodone pills. The center, which allegedly catered to drug buyers from other states, was shut down several months later.

Jacksonville Police said Johnson was one of 25 people who drove from Ohio seeking pills.

Legg said he didn't see Johnson take any drugs, but said he was drinking and had gotten high in the past.
