COLUMBUS, Ohio — Temperature records have been broken across Ohio by the weekend’s preview of summer weather in the state.

The National Weather Service says Sunday’s high of 84 degrees in Dayton topped the old record for April 10 of 82 degrees, which had been on the books since 1905.

The official thermometers on Sunday reached 85 degrees in Cincinnati, 84 in Columbus and Toledo, and 82 in Mansfield as all those cities also hit new highs for the date. Youngstown tied its April 10 record of 80 degrees.

Storms are expected to usher in cooler weather for the state on Monday.
