PORT CLINTON, Ohio — Ohio wildlife officers have rounded up a group of out-of-state anglers who they say were illegally catching walleye near Lake Erie.

Several media outlets say some of the 22 men cited were using improper fishing techniques and some had exceeded the daily catch limits where they were fishing near Port Clinton.

They face fines and could lose their fishing licenses for several years.

Officers say those cited are from Illinois and Iowa and that nine of them were at least 29 fish over the limit of four per person per day.
