WEST JEFFERSON, Ohio — Ohio troopers say four members of a family were killed when their sport utility vehicle was struck at an intersection by a car that didn’t stop for a red light.

Authorities in central Ohio’s Madison County tell media outlets the victims of Sunday evening’s crash were a London, Ohio, couple and their two 13-year-old sons. The State Highway Patrol says in a news release that the boys were not wearing seatbelts.

The 76-year-old man driving the car was hospitalized in critical condition.

The patrol says the car slammed into the side of the SUV, sending both vehicles off the road.

Troopers say the crash at the intersection of U.S. 40 and state Route 38 remains under investigation.
